ALBANY, N.Y. -- ECAC Hockey today announced that Harvard freshman defenseman Danny Biega has been suspended for one game as the result of an incident in the Harvard-Brown contest Friday, February 5 at Meehan Auditorium. The suspension assessed is in accordance with ECAC Hockey Policies and Procedures, and Rule 4, Section 10 of the NCAA Men's and Women's Ice Hockey Rules.
The League action was taken after a review of an incident that occurred at 17 minutes, 46 seconds of the second period for which Mr. Biega received a five-minute major penalty and game misconduct for hitting from behind.
Based upon the action by the League, Biega is not eligible to compete in Harvard's contest versus Northeastern Monday, February 8. He is eligible to return to action Friday, February 12 vs. Rensselaer.
