    GREEN BAY, Wis. – The men's hockey team's run in the NCAA tournament came to a close Saturday in a 2-1 loss to Ferris State in the Midwest Regional final at Resch Center. Both Bulldogs goals came in the third period, with Jordie Johnston breaking a 1-all tie with 13:06 remaining in regulation.

    ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – Daniel Carr scored at 10:26 of the third period to break a 1-1 tie lead #6/#6 Union College to a 3-1 win over Harvard University (13-10-11) and Union’s first ECAC Hockey Championship at Boardwalk Hall Saturday night. The Dutchmen (24-7-7), two time Cleary Cup Champions for the regular season title, won the tournament title in its second appearance in the Championship Game in three seasons.

    HAMILTON, N.Y. – The Quinnipiac University men's ice hockey team evened its ECAC Hockey Championship Quarterfinals match-up against Colgate with a 4-2 victory at Starr Rink in Hamilton, N.Y. The Bobcats' win ties the series at 1-1. Quinnipiac improves to 20-13-3 for the season, it's 11th 20-win season in 14 years at the Division I level. Quinnipiac and Colgate will meet again in the third and decisive game on Sunday, Mar. 11 at 7 p.m. at Starr Rink.

Sophomore Kenny Agostino’s 15-foot wrister at 3:49 of the extra session gave the Yale men’s hockey team a 2-1 win over Harvard in game one of the ECAC Tournament Quarterfinal, best-of-three series at Bright Hockey Center.

    The Quinnipiac men's ice hockey team defeated Brown, 4-2, in the third and decisive game of its ECAC Hockey Tournament First Round series at High Point Solutions Arena at the TD Bank Sports Center. With the win, Quinnipiac advances to the ECAC Hockey Tournament Quarterfinals at Colgate on Mar. 9-11. As the Bobcats advance, it marks the seventh consecutive year that Quinnipiac has won a postseason series, making them the only team in ECAC Hockey to do so since Quinnipiac joined the league in 2005-06. Quinnipiac also remains undefeated in ECAC Hockey Tournament First Round series play with an overall record of 14-3.

The Engineers improve to 12-22-3 and will face an opponent to be determined. The Golden Knights finish the season with a 16-17-6 record.

Antoine Laganiere’s first collegiate hat trick and Anthony Day’s first two-goal game ignited Yale to a 7-3 win over Princeton in the best-of-three, first-round playoff finale at Ingalls Rink.

    Sophomore Ben Sexton (Kanata, ONT) scored at the side of the net at 13:48 of the third overtime to lift the Clarkson University Hockey team to a 4-3 victory over Rensselaer in Game 2 of the ECAC Hockey First Round series at Cheel Arena on Saturday night. Sexton’s goal ended the sixth longest game in NCAA history at 113:48 and forced a deciding third game in the first round series to be played on Sunday at 7:00 p.m.

    CANTON, N.Y. – Freshman Andy Simpson (Chesterfield, Mo.) and sophomore Matt Lindblad (Winnetka, Ill.) scored two goals in the opening eight minutes to propel the No. 9 Dartmouth men’s hockey team to the quarterfinals of the 2012 ECAC Hockey Tournament with a 4-1 Game 2 win over No. 8 St. Lawrence Saturday night at Appleton Arena.

Princeton had a 3-1 lead erased by a pair of special team goals before the teams traded tallies in the final six minutes.

Quinnipiac improves to 18-12-5 on the season while Brown drops to 9-16-3.

    NEW HAVEN, Conn. – It may have been a No. 6 seed against a No. 11 in game one of an ECAC Hockey first-round, best-of-three series, but this was a close call the entire way. The favored Yale men’s team got a goal and an assist from defenseman Colin Dueck and 25 saves from Nick Maricic in a 4-2 win over Princeton at Ingalls Rink. The game between the two Ancient Eight rivals was played as close as the box score indicated. The Bulldogs (14-13-3), unbeaten in its last five outings, had the edge (33-27) in shots while both squads found the net on one man-advantage. The Tigers (8-15-7) never let the home team feel comfortable, which has happened in each of the four meetings this season.

With the victory the Engineers look to close out the best-of-three set on Saturday night at Cheel Arena. Gametime is 7pm.
