  • Banner Season Ends for Crimson at the NCAA Tournament

    SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Competing in the NCAA Tournament after winning the ECAC Tournament crown a week ago, Harvard men's ice hockey fell to Nebraska Omaha, 4-1, in the first round of the Midwest Regional. Jimmy Vesey scored his 32nd goal of the year in the third period to lead the Harvard offense, scoring his 58th point of the season.

    FARGO, North Dakota – The Quinnipiac University men's ice hockey lost to North Dakota, 4-1, in the 2015 NCAA Division I men's ice hockey championship West Regional at SCHEELS Arena in Fargo, North Dakota. With the loss, Quinnipiac's season ends with a record of 23-12-4 while UND improves to 28-9-3 and advances to the regional championship against St. Cloud State on Saturday, Mar. 28.

  • Whitelaw Cup Returns to Cambridge!

    LAKE PLACID, N.Y. – For the ninth time in program history, the Harvard men's hockey team raised the Whitelaw Cup as the ECAC Hockey tournament champion after defeating Colgate, 4-2, in the title game Saturday at the 1980 Rink in Herb Brooks Arena. The win earns No. 17/15 Harvard the ECAC's automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament. The NCAA will announce seedings and destinations for the regional round on ESPNU at 12 p.m. Sunday, March 22.

With the loss, the Bobcats await the results from around NCAA Division I hockey to learn their fate in the upcoming national tournament. Quinnipiac drops to 23-11-4 this season while Harvard improves to 20-12-3 and advances to the ECAC Hockey Championship game on Saturday night.

But, despite rallying three times from one-goal deficits, the Saints could never get a lead on the Raiders and the season ended 9:34 into overtime when junior center Mike Borkowski scored the game winner.

    NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The longest game in Harvard hockey history ended in jubilant fashion, as Jimmy Vesey buried a rebound at 16:46 of the second overtime to give the No. 18 Crimson a 3-2 win over Yale (18-9-5, 12-6-4) in the decisive game three of the ECAC Hockey quarterfinals series at Ingalls Rink Sunday night. With the win, Harvard (19-12-3, 11-8-3 ECAC) advances to the semifinals to play Quinnipiac in Lake Placid at Herb Brooks Arena at 4:07 p.m. Friday, March 20.

With the win, the Saints sweep the quarterfinal series, 2-0, and improve to 20-13-3 overall. The Engineers conclude their season with a 12-26-3 record.
