ALBANY, N.Y. -- The 2010 ECAC Hockey Championship presented by Bank of America and the Hilton Garden Inn at Albany Medical Center field is set with Cornell, Union, St. Lawrence and Brown battling to be called champion. Competition will commence Friday with semifinals action at the Times Union Center. Bears Advance to Semifinals with Win Over Yale
NEW HAVEN, CT – Sophomore Jack Maclellan (Calgary, ALB) scored his second short-handed goal in as many games, while sophomore Mike Clemente (Great Falls, VA) stopped all 44 shots he faced to earn his third career shutout as the 11th-seeded Brown men’s hockey team (12-19-4, 7-12-4) upset top-seeded and sixth-ranked Yale (20-9-3, 15-5-2), 1-0, in the deciding game of the ECAC best-of-three Quarterfinal series. Union Earns First Trip to League Semifinals
SCHENECTADY, NY -- A 2-1 victory against Quinnipiac propelled the 17th-ranked Union College men's ice hockey team into the ECAC Hockey Championship weekend for the first time in the team's 19 year Division I history. Union, the third seed in the tournament, will play fifth-seeded St. Lawrence at 7 p.m. on Friday, Mar. 19 in the Times Union Center in Albany. [more]
