Dominic Moore, 30, a gritty veteran centre, had plenty of
competition during his Thornhill, Ont., childhood with older
brothers Mark and Steve, with whom he played at Harvard. Moore has
been inspired by his mother, Anna, who is paralyzed on her right
side, and Steve, whose career was derailed in 2004 while with the
Colorado Avalanche when then-Vancouver Canuck (and current Detroit
Red Wing) Todd Bertuzzi punched him in the head from behind,
causing a concussion, nerve damage and fractured vertebra.
Moore recently discussed his family, Harvard, the movie The Social Network and his tennis passion.
Question: What was it like playing on the same Harvard team with your brothers, Mark and Steve?
