NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Just one day ago, the Yale Bulldogs saw the importance of having a strong goalie. Saturday afternoon, the Union Dutchwomen flipped the script in a 3-1 Yale defeat.

Coco Francis made 30 saves on 31 shots for Union (2-5-1, 2-0-0 ECAC), including 14 saves in a blank third period.

The Dutchwomen took a 2-0 lead with a goal in each of the first two periods.

Kara Drexler answered for Yale (1-2-1, 0-1-1 ECAC) on the power play, scoring an unassisted marker. It would be the only mistake Francis made all game.

Union added an empty net goal with 49 seconds left to seal the game.

Gianna Meloni stopped 15 of the 17 shots she faced for Yale.
