    ALBANY, N.Y. - ECAC Hockey women’s teams take to the ice this weekend to officially beginning the 2017-18 regular-season Among those in action are defending national champion and top-ranked Clarkson traveling to No. 8/8 Northeastern. It will be the first match-up between the two teams since 2013. Also in action is Rensselaer, under new head coach Bryan Vines, visiting Ohio State for a two-game set; Union, the lone ECAC Hockey school playing at home, will host Providence for two; and No. 9/10 Quinnipiac treks to Maine to face-off against the Black Bears for two games.

    ALBANY, N.Y. -- Defending national champion, ECAC Hockey regular-season and 2017 league tournament champion Clarkson was selected the team to beat in the women’s coaches’ preseason poll. The Golden Knights earned ten first-place votes and a total of 119 points to garner the preseason top spot.
  • Preseason All-League Team Features Student-Athlete Leaders

    ALBANY, N.Y. -- The 2017-18 coaches’ preseason all-league team is made up of three seniors, one junior and two sophomores, which all ranked near the top of every statistical category last season in league play. As voted on by the league's 12 head coaches, players from three different teams - Clarkson, Princeton and St. Lawrence make-up the preseason all-league team.
  • 2016-17 All-Academic Team Comprises 197 Student-Athletes

    ALBANY, N.Y. - One hundred and ninety-seven student-athletes representing the ECAC Hockey’s (@ecachockeyMWD1) 12 women’s programs were named to the 2016-17 ECAC Hockey All-Academic team. One hundred and twenty-four of this year’s student-athletes were also named to the team last year, 70 have the distinction of receiving the honor the last three seasons and 29 received the recognition over the last four years. Of the 12 institutions, Brown and Quinnipiac led the way with 22 honorees each, followed by Yale with 20 and Harvard with 19.
