Vecchione was the leading scorer in the nation during October, compiling 12 points (5g, 7a) and stringing together a seven-game points streak. Of his five goals, one came on the power-play, while another was of the shorthanded variety. He also won 62 percent of his faceoffs. The Saugus, Mass. native led Union to a 3-1 record against nationally-ranked teams and captured back-to-back ECAC Hockey Player of the Week awards (Oct. 14 & 21).
