Jack Watson (So., Rensselaer) is embracing his role as the Engineers’ starting goaltender, helping the team to a 5-2 record to open their 2022-23 campaign. Through seven games started and over 400 minutes played, Watson has made 166 saves (good for third in the league) and ranks first in win percentage among goalies with more than three games played. On October 14, he recorded his first clean sheet of the season with a 1-0 shutout of Long Island. Watson has already recorded two games with more than 30 saves, both wins, including a season-high 37 in a 3-2 OT win vs. Mercyhurst on October 8.
