CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. — ECAC Hockey has announced its men’s award winners for the month of November: Collin Graf (Quinnipiac), Henry Thrun (Harvard), Ethan Haider (Clarkson), and Sam Lipkin (Quinnipiac).
Forward of the Month
Collin Graf (So., Quinnipiac) earns Forward of the Month honors for November after a league-leading 12-point month that saw the Bobcats finish with a 7-0-1 record. In eight games, Graf tallied four goals, including three with the skater advantage, and added eight assists. One of his best personal performances was in Quinnipiac’s 4-0 shutout of Yale (November 12), when Graf scored three goals (two on the power play) and the game-winner. The outing would stand as his first hat trick of the season and one of his four multi-point games.
Defender of the Month
Henry Thrun (Sr., Harvard) is named Defender of the Month for November after three goals and six assists, including three multi-point performances. One of Thrun’s best outings came against non-conference opponent Michigan (November 25), where he blocked a season-high five shots and scored two goals to power Harvard to a 4-4 tie with the national powerhouse. Throughout the rest of the month, Thrun blocked eight additional shots and finished November with two power play goals.
Goaltender of the Month
Ethan Haider (Jr., Clarkson) earns Goaltender of the Month after a November that saw him finish with a 5-1 record. Haider earned back-to-back shutouts to get the month back on track, blanking Rensselaer 3-0 (November 5) and Colgate 4-0 (November 11), then allowed just five goals through his next three contests. Haider closed out the month with a 55-save weekend against Arizona State and improved his stats to league-leading 1.34 goals against average and .937 save percentage.
Rookie of the Month
Your ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Month for November, Sam Lipkin (Fr., Quinnipiac), has been heating up this month, scoring two goals, adding five assists, and taking 27 shots in eight games to help the Bobcats to a 7-0-1 record in November. He has been hitting the back of the net at key moments for Quinnipiac, often starting a comeback effort for the team that has led them to dominant wins at Princeton (November 18) and against Dartmouth in Belfast (November 25).
