Collin Graf and Yaniv Perets Honored by College Hockey News for exceptional seasons

CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. — College Hockey News has announced its annual All-College Hockey News Teams, selecting Quinnipiac Bobcats Collin Graf and Yaniv Perets to the organization’s Second Team.

The Bobcats outperformed the already high expectations for their season, becoming the first team, men’s or womens, in nearly 30 years to reach the 20-win mark in league play. The team has skated to an impressive 32-4-3 record, including capping off the regular season with a ten-game win streak dating back to the Connecticut Ice tournament in January.

Sophomores Collin Graf and Yaniv Perets have played integral roles in the team’s successes, including in the program’s first trip back to the Frozen Four since 2016. Both were unanimous selections to the 2023 All-ECAC Hockey First Team.

Graf has excelled in his first season at Quinnipiac, scoring a team-high 20 goals and leading the Bobcats with 56 points. He scored eight power play goals and four game-winners, and recorded his first collegiate hat trick in a 4-0 shutout of Yale (November 12).

2023 ECAC Hockey Goaltender of the Year Yaniv Perets has been a force to be reckoned with for the Bobcats this season with a 32-4-3 record in between the pipes. Individually, Perets has put up impressive numbers, including a 1.46 goals against average, good for first in the nation, and a.932 save percentage, good for second.

Additionally, College Hockey News has announced Alex Laferriere (Harvard), Sean Farrell (Harvard), Alex Young (Colgate), and Zach Metsa (Quinnipiac) as honorable mentions.
