CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. - ECAC Men’s Hockey student-athletes have once again followed a successful playing season with stellar marks in the classroom as the league announced that 293 men’s student-athletes have been honored with All-Academic status for the 2022-23 season.
Brown led the way among the 12 member programs, showcasing a league-high 30 student-athletes on the team, while Harvard (29), St. Lawrence (29), and Dartmouth (27) were close behind the Bears.
Of the 290 honorees, eight student-athletes (Clarkson’s Christopher Klack, Quinnipiac’s Desi Burgart, Ethan de Jong, TJ Friedmann, Jake Johnson, Michael Lombardi, and Zach Metsa, and St. Lawrence's Emil Zetterquist) earned their fifth consecutive honor. Individuals previously named to the team are designated with an asterisk (*) signifying the number of years previously honored.
Players are eligible for the All-Academic team if they earn a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.00 on a 4.00 scale, or have a GPA of 3.00 or more the past three semesters. One student-athlete (listed in boldface) from each institution is honored on the Commissioner’s List, showcasing each program’s top scholar from the 2022-23 season.
