League Releases 2023-24 Women’s Conference Schedule

Regular Season Campaign Precludes First Ever 12-Team Women’s Postseason

CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. – Following a nationally-prominent 2022-23 season that featured a nationally-ranked number one team and four league members in the NCAA Tournament, ECAC Hockey has announced the Women's Hockey conference schedule for the 2023-24 season.

The major headline of the 2023-24 season is the enhancement of the Women's postseason structure which will provide all 12 teams with a postseason opportunity for the first time in the league's history.

Mirroring the structure used by the men's programs last season, the women's playoff structure is as follows for 2023-24:
  • First Round – One game hosted by 5-8 seeds vs. 9-12 seeds
  • Quarterfinals – Best-of-three series hosted by 1-4 seeds vs. winners of First Round games
  • Championship Weekend – Semifinals and final (hosted by top remaining seed)
The battle for the ECAC Women's Hockey regular season and tournament titles will take place over the league’s traditional 132-game slate, beginning on October 13 and concluding on March 8-9 with the league’s Women’s Championship weekend hosted by the top remaining seed after the tournament's quarterfinals.

As is league tradition, the regular season schedule features a balanced, 22-game schedule where each program plays its 11 competitors once at home and once on the road throughout the course of the year.

As the regular season concludes, the league’s 12 members battle for the ECAC Women's Hockey Championship trophy and an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.

Harvard has won the most regular season titles in the league's history with seven championships, while also leading the way in the postseason with six tournament triumphs.

All dates and times listed for the ECAC Women’s Hockey schedule are subject to change. The non-conference portion of the 2023-24 schedule will be added once all ECAC Hockey teams announce their own non-conference schedules.
