Haymes, Pennington, Stark, Walsh Earn Weekly Awards

CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. – ECAC Hockey is proud to announce the men's weekly award recipients for the week concluding on February 4, 2024: Luke Haymes (Dartmouth), Davis Pennington (Quinnipiac), Jack Stark (Yale), and Ryan Walsh (Cornell).

Forward of the Week, presented by Bluebird Hotels
Luke Haymes (So., Dartmouth) secures the title of Forward of the Week, presented by Bluebird Hotels, following an outstanding weekend performance for the Big Green, notching four goals over the road series. In the 5-1 victory at Princeton on Friday, the sophomore forward recorded his first hat trick of the season, featuring the power-play game-winning goal. The following night, Haymes added his fourth goal of the weekend, finishing with a positive plus-minus of one.

Defender of the Week
Davis Pennington (Jr., Quinnipiac) claims Defender of the Week honors with a sturdy performance on the blueline, instrumental in guiding the Bobcats to a weekend sweep. Pennington initiated the scoring in their 2-1 victory against Harvard, contributing the first goal of the night, and followed up the next night with an assist on Mason Marcellus' game-winning goal against Dartmouth. The junior defender concluded the weekend with a favorable plus-minus of two.

MAC Goaltending Goaltender of the Week
Jack Stark (Fr., Yale) attains MAC Goaltending Goaltender of the Week with an impressive display in the crease for the Bulldogs. In the three-goal victory on Friday, the first-year netminder made 30 saves while allowing just one goal. Stark maintained his strong performance the next night with 20 saves and one goal-against. Securing a 1-0-1 record over the weekend, Stark posted a 0.96 goals-against average and an impressive .962 save percentage.

Rookie of the Week
Ryan Walsh (Fr., Cornell) seizes Rookie of the Week honors after delivering an explosive offensive performance for the Big Red, contributing to a weekend sweep in Lynah against St. Lawrence and Clarkson. In the 5-1 victory on Friday, Walsh recorded the game-winning goal midway through the contest. The first-year forward added another game-winning goal in Saturday's commanding 7-2 victory, extending his scoring streak to three games.
