Czerneckianair's Goal Lifts Quinnipiac Past Wisconsin in NCAA Tournament

Bobcats Headed to Providence Regional Final on Sunday, March 31 (4:00 PM)

PROVIDENCE, RI - Sophomore Victor Czerneckianair scored the game-winner 11:04 into overtime, leading Quinnipiac Men's Ice Hockey past Wisconsin in the opening round of the 2024 NCAA Tournament on Friday evening inside Amica Mutual Pavilion.

The Bobcats will now advance to the regional final in Providence. Quinnipiac and Boston College will play for a trip to the Frozen Four on Sunday, March 31 at 4:00 PM.

Czerneckianair scored the equalizer with 1:32 left in the second period, then potted the game-winning goal off a feed from Travis Treloar and Davis Pennington.

Christophe Fillion scored the first goal of the game for the Bobcats.

The reigning national champions have now won five consecutive NCAA Tournament games, including four straight victories vs. Big Ten opponents.
