Kaiser, Fess, Alexander, Keating Honored With December Monthly Awards

DANBURY, CONN. – ECAC Hockey is proud to announce the women's monthly award winners for December: Ellie Kaiser (Gr., RPI), Sidney Fess (Gr., Clarkson), Mackenzie Alexander (Fr., Princeton), and Reese Keating (So., RPI)

Forward of the Month, presented by Bluebird Hotels
Ellie Kaiser (Gr., RPI) secures Forward of the Month honors presented by Bluebird Hotels. The Westmont, Ill. native had a five-point month with two goals and three assists. Most notably, the graduate had a two-goal game vs Assumption University. The former Chicago Mission forward is second on RPI with seven goals and has led the Engineers to five wins in six games. They host two top-15 opponents this weekend: No. 9 Quinnipiac, a top-three defense in the nation, and No. 14 Princeton, a top-four offense in the country in goals scored (74).

Ironhead Defender of the Month
Sidney Fess (Gr., Clarkson) earns Ironhead Defender of the Month honors after performing well on the blue line to wrap up 2024. The Clifton Park, N.Y. native aided the Golden Knights to a 2-0-0 record in December and is currently riding an 11-game unbeaten streak, dating back to Nov. 2, 2024. During December, the Boston College graduate transfer accumulated three assists and a +4 rating through two games. Fess and the No. 6 Golden Knights await their biggest test as No. 5 Colgate and No. 7 Cornell swing through the north country this weekend.

Bitcoin Rookie of the Month
Mackenzie Alexander (Fr., Princeton) garners her third consecutive Bitcoin Rookie of the Month honors. The Etobicoke, Ont. native scored one goal and three assists in December for the Tigers. She leads the nation among rookies in points and is tied for fifth-most among the top in the country with 33 points.

MAC Goaltending Goaltender of the Month
Reese Keating (So., RPI) has been recognized as the MAC Goaltending Goalie of the Month. The former Shattuck-St. Mary's standout performance in the net this month was outstanding, garnering her the honor for the second month. She held a perfect 3-0-0 record and an impressive 0.67 GAA. During this period, Keating made 80 saves, achieved a remarkable save percentage of .976, and recorded one shutout, showcasing her exceptional skills as a goaltender.
