DANBURY, CONN. – ECAC Hockey has selected the men’s weekly award winners for the week ending on March 10th, 2025: Ryan St. Louis (Jr., Brown), Tim Rego (Sr., Cornell), Mick Thompson (Fr., Harvard), and Aku Koskenvuo (Jr., Harvard).
Forward of the Week, presented by Bluebird Hotels
Ryan St. Louis (Jr., Brown) has earned the Forward of the Week title, presented by Bluebird Hotels. Hailing from Old Greenwich, Conn., he had two goals and an assist in the Bears' 3-2 win over Princeton to advance to the quarterfinal round against No. 1 seeded Quinnipiac.
Defender of the Week
Tim Rego (Sr., Cornell) has been honored with the ECAC Hockey Defender of the Week award. The ex-standout defender for the Dubuque Fighting Saints (USHL) netted two goals, guiding the Big Red to a decisive win at Lynah Rink in honor of Mike Schafer’s last home game. The Big Red are now set to face No. 3 seeded Colgate in Hamilton.
#Bitcoin Rookie of the Week
Mick Thompson (Fr., Harvard) has been named the #Bitcoin Rookie of the Week. The former Chicago Steel (USHL) forward scored two goals to seal the win over RPI Friday night, advancing to No. 2-seeded Clarkson for the quarterfinals.
MAC Goaltending Goalie of the Week
Aku Koskenvuo (Jr., Harvard), a junior goaltender from Espoo, Finland, is the MAC Goaltending Goaltender of the Week. The Vancouver Canucks 2021 fifth-rounder led the Crimson to a playoff home win, making 36 saves and only allowing two goals in the contest.
