DANBURY, CONN. — ECAC Hockey is proud to announce Colgate’s Michael Neumeier as the recipient of the Bitcoin Rookie of the Year Award for the 2024-25 season, as announced on Thursday night at the awards ceremony in Lake Placid, New York.
The finalists for this award were Mick Thompson (Harvard) and Ben Muthersbaugh (Union).
A unanimous decision for the ECAC All-Rookie team, the first year was an asset to Colgate’s defensive front this season. Neumeier appeared in 21 league games, totaling five goals and 10 assists. He notched two game-winning goals and ended the season with an impressive +12 rating (ranking 8th in the ECAC).
The Kerrobert, Saskatchewan native earned Bitcoin Rookie and Defenseman of the Week honors throughout the season.
