DANBURY, Conn. – ECAC Hockey has unveiled its highly anticipated 2025-26 women's league schedule, setting the stage for another thrilling season of collegiate hockey battles.
The quest for the ECAC Hockey regular season title will take place over the league's traditional 132-game slate, beginning on October 24 and concluding with the ECAC Hockey Women's Championships from Februray 20-March 2.
As is league tradition, the regular season schedule features the most balanced schedule in the nation where each program plays its 11 competitors once at home and once on the road throughout the course of the year.
Last season, Cornell edged Colgate by two points for the regular season title and top seed in the postseason. St. Lawrence and Clarkson claimed the remaining two opening round byes for the second straight season.
All four top seeds advanced to Championship Weekend with three of the four sweeping their quarterfinal series'. Clarkson was the sole host to play a game three where they defeated Quinnipiac in Potsdam.
The Big Red survived a serious threat from the Golden Knights in the semifinals, winning the game in triple overtime. Colgate knocked off St. Lawrence in the other semifinal contest, setting up a Big Red/Raiders matchup in the final.
Cornell defended home ice and took home the league title with a convincing 5-1 championship victory in Ithaca.
The league's playoff structure remains as follows for 2025-26:
- First Round – One game hosted by 5-8 seeds vs. 9-12 seeds
- Quarterfinals – Best-of-three series hosted by 1-4 seeds vs. winners of First Round games
- Championship Weekend – Semifinals and Final
The ECAC Women's Hockey schedule is subject to change and missing game times will be provided closer to the season. The non-conference portion of the 2025-26 schedule will be added to the league site once all ECAC Hockey teams announce their own non-conference schedules.
