Barbirati, Watson, Rheaume, Frank Claim ECAC Hockey Weekly Awards

DANBURY, CONN. – ECAC Hockey has selected the women’s weekly award winners for the week ending on September 29th, 2025: Jade Barbirati (Fr., Quinnipiac), Makayla Watson (So., Quinnipiac), Emma Rheaume (Fr., Union), and Felicia Frank (So., Quinnipiac).

Forward of the Week, presented by Bluebird Hotels
Jade Barbirati (Fr., Quinnipiac) earns Forward of the Week honors, presented by Bluebird Hotels. Hailing from France, the freshman started her college hockey career facing off against Maine on September 26, where she tallied two assists as the Bobcats won 3-2. The next day Barbirati netted two goals including the overtime game-winning goal allowing the Bobcats to start the season 2-0-0.

Defender of the Week
Makayla Watson (So., Quinnipiac) has been named the ECAC Hockey Defender of the Week. The defender from Brooks, Alberta, Can., started her sophomore season with an assist on the third goal in the first game against Maine helping the Bobcats secure the 3-2 win. The next day Watson continued her hot streak tallying one goal and two assists to help close out the weekend road series against Maine.

#Bitcoin Rookie of the Week
Emma Rheaume (Fr., Union) claims the Bitcoin Rookie of the Week. Rheaume took the net of the brand new M&T Bank Center for the first time in garnet. The Quebec native went on to secure her first shutout as a Garnet Charger against the Ravens of Franklin Pierce.

MAC Goaltending Goaltender of the Week
Felicia Frank (So., Quinnipiac) has been awarded the MAC Goaltender of the Week award. The Swedish goalie posted a 2-0-0 record this weekend with a 0.897 save percentage, making 26 saves with a 1.75 goals-against average.
