ABOUT LAKE PLACID
Lake Placid annually hosted the ECAC Men’s Hockey Championship for a 10-year period from 1993-02 and as well as in 2014-present. The arena has been used several times for college hockey championships in the United States. It hosted the 1970, 1984 and 1988 NCAA Men’s Ice Hockey Championship, commonly referred to as the Frozen Four. The arena has hosted the NCAA Women’s Ice Hockey Championship as well, in 2007.

The 13,450-seat multi-purpose venue was constructed for the 1980 Winter Olympics and seats approximately 7,700 for hockey.
