Quillan, Shane, Marcellus Earn Consecutive Monthly Awards

Union's Prokop Nabs Defender of the Month Honors

CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. – As we bid farewell to another month of ECAC Hockey, we take pride in presenting our men’s monthly award recipients for November: Jacob Quillan (Quinnipiac), John Prokop (Union), Ian Shane (Cornell), Mason Marcellus (Quinnipiac).

Forward of the Month
Jacob Quillan (Jr., Quinnipiac) is given the distinguished title of Forward of the Month, marking his second such accolade this season. He delivered yet another remarkable performance for the Bobcats, amassing 11 total points across seven games played in November. Quillan contributed significantly with six goals and five assists, playing a pivotal role in the Bobcats' undefeated streak in league play. Notably, he secured one power-play goal and one game-winning goal in the team's 5-1 victory over Brown. The junior forward concluded the month with an impressive average of 1.57 points per game and a favorable plus-minus of four.

Defender of the Month
John Prokop (So., Union) earns his first Defender of the Month honors this season with a stellar 10-point performance for the Garnet Chargers. Leading Union to a 4-2 record in November, Prokop recorded three multi-point nights in the six games played, accumulating one goal and nine assists. His lone goal of the month came during the home and away series with Rensselaer. The sophomore blueliner concluded the month with a positive plus-minus of two.

MAC Goaltending Goaltender of the Month
Ian Shane (Jr., Cornell) secures his second consecutive MAC Goaltending Goaltender of the Month honors. With a 3-1-1 record for the Big Red, including a significant victory against Boston University in the Red Hot Hockey contest, Shane displayed an outstanding performance in the crease. Across six games, he made 108 total saves and closed the month with a 2.10 goals-against average and a .908 save percentage.

Bitcoin Rookie of the Month
Mason Marcellus (Fr., Quinnipiac) clinches the Bitcoin Rookie of the Month honors with a stellar nine-point performance, contributing significantly to the Bobcats' undefeated record in conference play. Averaging an impressive 1.29 points per game, Marcellus notched four goals and five assists in seven games played during November. Notably, he secured the game-winning goal in the Bobcats' 7-4 victory against Colgate. The first-year forward concluded the month with a remarkable plus-minus of six.
