Forward of the Week

In two league contests this week, Sean Farrell (Jr., Harvard) had seven points, including setting a single-game season high five points for the Crimson on Saturday. On Monday's preliminary game in the Beanpot, Farrell had two assists en route to a championship appearance this week. Over the weekend, Farrell's five points helped boost Harvard to a 6-3 win over Dartmouth on Saturday. Farrell opened the game with three assists, including two with the player advantage, and then scored a goal of his own in the third period to put Harvard ahead by two. He finished the game off with an unassisted empty net goal to round out a five-point performance and a seven-point week.

Defender of the Week

Lauri Sertti (Jr., Rensselaer) had four points in Rensselaer’s 4-2 defeat of Yale this week, contributing to each of the Engineers’ goals and finishing the weekend with a +3 rating. Kept off the board on Friday, Sertti had assists on the power play, at even strength, and shorthanded, proving his mettle on special teams, and scored a power play tally of his own in the first period that stood as the game-winner against the Bulldogs.

MAC Goaltending Goaltender of the Week

Yaniv Perets (So., Quinnipiac) had another big weekend between the pipes for the Bobcats, going 2-0 to extend the team’s unbeaten streak to six games. With 34 combined saves against Clarkson and St. Lawrence, Perets recorded his fourth and fifth clean sheets of the second half, finishing the week with a perfect 1.00 save percentage and 0.00 goals against average.

Co-Rookies of the Week

Nick DeSantis (Fr., Cornell) and Nate Hanley (Fr., Union) continue to shine on the league and national stages for their respective teams.

DeSantis put up two points in the Big Red's tie in the second half of their home-and-home against Colgate. On Saturday, he assisted on the game’s opening goal, then scored one of his own at the midway point of the first period to help the Big Red go up 2-0 over the Raiders. In two games played, DeSantis registered four shots on goal, matching his single-game season high.

Hanley has also continued to contribute to the Union offense, adding two points of his own during this week's win against Yale. On Friday, Hanley scored the game-winner in the third period to give the Dutchmen a two-goal cushion. He added an assist on the team's final insurance goal to close out the game and another two-point performance.
