Ten ECAC Hockey Representatives Named New England Division I Men’s All-Stars

Skyler Brind’Amour, Matthew Coronato, Ethan de Jong, Sean Farrell, Collin Graf, Alex Laferriere, Zach Metsa, Tanner Palocsik, Henry Thrun, and Yaniv Perets honored

CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. — The New England Hockey Writers Association has announced a selection of 19 players as 2022-23 New England Men’s Division I All-Stars, including ten representatives from ECAC Hockey member programs. 

The association will host an awards reception on Wednesday, April 19, to honor the New England Writers’ honorees and present Quinnipiac forward Skyler Brind’Amour with the Frank Jones Award for New England’s Top Defensive Forward and Harvard forward Sean Farrell with the Herb Gallagher Award for New England’s Top Forward.

Ten representatives from ECAC Hockey have been named Men’s Division I All-Stars, with five representatives from Quinnipiac, four from Harvard, and one from Dartmouth.

Forward: Ethan de Jong (Gr., Quinnipiac)
Forward: Sean Farrell (Jr., Harvard)
Forward: Collin Graf (So., Quinnipiac)
Forward: Alex Laferriere (Jr., Harvard)
Defender: Zach Metsa (Gr., Quinnipiac)
Defender: Tanner Palocsik (Sr., Dartmouth)
Defender: Henry Thrun (Sr., Harvard)
Goaltender: Yaniv Perets (So., Quinnipiac)

The group is headlined by five Bobcats, including Gladiator Best Defensive Forward Skyler Brind’Amour and unanimous All-ECAC Hockey First Team selections Collin Graf and Yaniv Perets. Perets also took home honors as the ECAC Hockey Men’s Goaltender of the Year. Rounding out Quinnipiac’s honorees are All-ECAC Hockey Second Team honorees Ethan de Jong and Zach Metsa. 

Joining the Bobcats are four representatives from the Harvard Crimson, including the Howies Hockey Best Defensive Defenseman Henry Thrun and ECAC Hockey Player of the Year Sean Farrell. Alex Laferriere and Matthew Coronato, both All-ECAC Hockey Second Team selections, round out Harvard’s honorees. 

The sole member of the Big Green honored by the New England Hockey Writers is Dartmouth senior Tanner Palocsik, an All-ECAC Hockey Third Team honoree whose 22 points from the blue line led the Big Green in scoring and whose 27 blocks rank fourth on the team.
