CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. — It was a busy day for the league, with three teams punching their tickets to the league quarterfinals with wins in the first round. Clarkson downed Brown, 5-1, in Potsdam, while Princeton toppled Union in Schenectady for their second win against the Dutchmen this season. The Bulldogs pulled off the upset of Rensselaer in Troy for a trip to the quarterfinals.

Following this first round of the ECAC Hockey Men's Tournament, winners will be re-seeded in advance of the quarterfinal round against the league's top four seeds for a best-of-three quarterfinal series on March 10-12.
