CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. – ECAC Hockey is proud to announce the men’s monthly award winners for January: Joe Miller (Harvard), Ryan Healey (Harvard), Ian Shane (Cornell), and Jack Stark (Yale).
Forward of the Month
Joe Miller (So., Harvard) secures Forward of the Month honors after an impressive offensive display for the Crimson, accumulating 12 points across eight games, averaging 1.5 points per game. The sophomore forward netted five goals during the month, including the decisive game-winning goal against Rensselaer. With four multi-point performances, Miller contributed seven assists, totaling 12 points.
Defender of the Month
Ryan Healey (So., Harvard) earns Defender of the Month accolades for an outstanding performance on the blueline, amassing 10 points in eight games. The sophomore defender scored six goals and provided four assists, averaging 1.25 points per game. Healey played a crucial role in the Crimson’s power play, registering four goals during man-advantage situations. Additionally, he recorded the game-winning goal in their road matchup against Yale.
MAC Goaltending Goaltender of the Month
Ian Shane (Jr., Cornell) is named MAC Goaltending Goaltender of the Month after an impressive 5-0-1 record in January, playing six games. Shane made 116 saves, including a shutout with 17 saves at Harvard. Facing three nationally-ranked opponents, he allowed just nine goals throughout the month. The junior netminder posted an impressive 1.58 goals-against average and a commendable .928 save percentage.
Bitcoin Rookie of the Month
Jack Stark (Fr., Yale) receives Bitcoin Rookie of the Month honors for his stellar performance in the crease, contributing to the Bulldogs' 4-3-0 record in January. The first-year goaltender started all seven games, making an impressive 200 total saves while allowing only 11 goals. Stark secured a significant league win at home with a 29-save shutout against Dartmouth. His remarkable stats include a 1.58 goals-against average and a .948 save percentage throughout the month.
