Biederman, Winn, Keating, Alexander Honored With September/October Monthly Awards

DANBURY, CONN. – ECAC Hockey is proud to announce the women's monthly award winners for September/October: Elyssa Biederman (Colgate), Haley Winn (Clarkson), Reese Keating (RPI), and Mackenzie Alexander (Princeton).

Forward of the Month, presented by Bluebird Hotels
Elyssa Biederman (Jr., Colgate) secures Forward of the Month honors presented by Bluebird Hotels. The junior forward had an impressive 11-point performance in six games played during the first month and a half of action, boasting a 1.5 points-per-game average. Registering six goals and nine assists for the months of September and October, Biederman enters November on a six-game point streak as the Raiders start league play in Hamilton, hosting Rensselaer and Union this weekend.

Defender of the Month
Haley Winn (Sr., Clarkson) earns Defender of the Month honors with a solid performance on the blueline, aiding the Golden Knights to a 6-2-0 record to start the season. Winn accumulated fifteen points through eight games, including four goals and 11 assists. She notched her first career hat-trick on 9/28 at St. Michael’s. Winn, the lone unanimous all-preseason team member, continues to emerge as one of the nation’s top talents. She currently stands tied as the points leader in ECAC Hockey. The Golden Knights head on the road to open ECAC Hockey play this weekend to take on #11 Quinnipiac and (RV) Princeton.

MAC Goaltending Goaltender of the Month
Reese Keating (So., RPI) is named MAC Goaltending Goaltender of the Month with a solid performance in the crease, amassing a 4-3-0 record for the Engineers. Throughout the seven games played, Keating recorded three shutouts, allowing just seven goals (1.00 GAA), for the entire month, and made 146 total saves. Keating posted an impressive .954 SV% (5th best in Div. I).

Bitcoin Rookie of the Month
Mackenzie Alexander (Fr., Princeton) garnered Bitcoin Rookie of the Month honors with an impressive performance at the start of the year, concluding the month with seven points in four games played. Alexander recorded 3 goals and 4 assists for the Tigers, tied for the team lead in points and assists. The first-year forward finished the month with a +1 plus-minus rating.
