Segedi, Trnková, Rampado, Bergmann Claim Weekly Awards

CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. – ECAC Hockey proudly announces the women’s weekly award recipients for the week concluding on February 5, 2024: Anna Segedi (St. Lawrence), Andrea Trnkova (Rensselaer), Amanda Rampado (Rensselaer), and Annelies Bergmann (Cornell).

Forward of the Week, presented by Bluebird Hotels
Anna Segedi (Sr., St. Lawrence) secures the title of Forward of the Week, presented by Bluebird Hotels, with an exceptional performance for the Saints, contributing to the acquisition of six crucial league points in the weekend sweep. The senior forward registered two goals, including the thrilling overtime game-winner against Colgate in Saturday’s contest. Segedi concluded the weekend with a positive plus-minus of three.

Defender of the Week
Andrea Trnková (Fr., Rensselaer) earns Defender of the Week honors following a five-point performance on the blueline, steering the Engineers to an undefeated weekend in league play. In the 4-1 victory on Friday, Trnková notched three assists, including a contribution to Ellie Kaiser’s game-winning goal. The following night, the first-year forward scored a goal and added an assist in the two-goal victory. Trnková finished the weekend with a favorable plus-minus of three.

MAC Goaltending Goaltender of the Week
Amanda Rampado (Gr., Rensselaer) is recognized as MAC Goaltending Goaltender of the Week after a solid performance in the crease for the Engineers, leading them to a 2-0-0 weekend. Throughout the weekend, Rampado allowed just one goal, concluding with an impressive 0.50 goals-against average. The fifth-year goaltender secured her third shutout of the season in Saturday’s 2-0 victory against Brown. Rampado amassed 67 total saves over the weekend, yielding an outstanding .985 save percentage.

Rookie of the Week
Annelies Bergmann (Fr., Cornell) claims Rookie of the Week honors with a standout performance in the net for the Big Red. The first-year goaltender posted a 1-1-0 record on the weekend, conceding only two goals against nationally-ranked opponents. In Saturday’s road game at Clarkson, Bergmann recorded a 43-save shutout to finish the weekend with 63 total saves. Bergmann concluded the weekend with a 1.02 goals-against average and an impressive .969 save percentage.
