Jack Stark G Yale Fr. *Denotes unanimous selection Headlining the ECAC Hockey All-Rookie Team is Quinnipiac forward Mason Marcellus, whose selection to the team was unanimous after a regular season that saw him score nine goals and tally 12 assists for 21 points through 22 games played. Marcellus proved to be a difference maker on the ice, finishing with a favorable plus-minus of 17. Joining Marcellus at forward is Cornell’s Jonathan Castagna, whose nine goals and 10 assists this season lead all freshmen on the Big Red’s roster. Castagna recorded his first collegiate hat trick in a 6-2 victory against Princeton (January 19). Rounding out the forwards is Colgate’s Jake Schneider, whose eight goals and nine assists is good for first in scoring among the Raiders freshmen. Schneider tallied his first multi-point night in a 4-2 victory over Cornell with one goal and two assists in the contest (December 2). On the blueline, by a unanimous decision, is Dartmouth’s CJ Foley, whose 18 total points puts him fourth in scoring for the Big Green. Foley recorded five goals and 13 assists through 22 games played for Dartmouth. Joining Foley is Cornell’s Ben Robertson, whose one goal and 12 assists leads all first-year defenders on the nationally-ranked Big Red roster. Robertson registered an impressive 49 shots on goal and maintains a favorable plus-minus of 10. In his first collegiate season on the backstop, Yale’s Jack Stark put up a 6-7-2 record in conference play for the Bulldogs. In 15 league contests, Stark made 400 saves with a career best of 35 against Quinnipiac (January 26). The first-year netminder recorded two shutouts against St. Lawrence (November 17) and Dartmouth (January 12). Stark wrapped up his freshman campaign with a .927 save percentage and a 1.93 goals-against average.
