CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. — The National Collegiate Women’s Ice Hockey Committee announced today the field of 11 teams slated to compete in the 2024 National Collegiate Women’s Ice Hockey Championship. For the second year in a row, the national tournament will feature four ECAC Hockey teams: Colgate (automatic bid), Clarkson, Cornell, and St. Lawrence (at-large bids). Colgate and Clarkson claimed two of the five national seeds, taking the third and fourth spots, respectively.
The quest for the 2024 national championship title begins this Thursday, March 14, with the regional semifinals on the campuses of the tournament’s top four seeds. Regional finals are slated to conclude on Saturday, March 16, with the winners advancing to the 2024 NCAA Women’s Frozen Four, hosted by the New Hampshire Wildcats in Durham, New Hampshire, March 22-24.
Ohio State enters the national tournament as the No. 1 seed and will host the winner of the Columbus regional semifinal between WCHA semifinalist Minnesota Duluth and Hockey East champion Connecticut at OSU Ice Rink in Columbus, Ohio.
Wisconsin, the No. 2 seed, will host the winner of the regional semifinal between ECAC semifinalist St. Lawrence (27-10-0) and CHA winner Penn State at La Bahn Arena in Madison.
The ECAC Tournament champion Colgate Raiders (31-6-1) enter the national tournament with the No. 3 seed, playing the winner of the Hamilton regional semifinal between fellow ECAC opponent Cornell (24-7-1) and NEWHA champion Stonehill at the Class of 1965 Arena in Hamilton, New York.
The league's runner-up, the Clarkson Golden Knights (32-4-2) are seeded No. 4, and will play WCHA semifinalist and No. 5 seed Minnesota at Cheel Arena for a trip to the 2024 Women's Frozen Four.

The 2024 Women’s Frozen Four begins on Friday, March 22 in Durham, New Hampshire, with the first semifinal game at 3:30 p.m. ET and the second at 7 p.m. ET. The national championship game will take place on Sunday, March 24, at 4 p.m. ET.
