DANBURY, CONN. — ECAC Hockey is proud to name Quinnipiac’s Jack Ricketts as the recipient of the Gladiator Best Defensive Forward for the 2024-25 season, as announced on Thursday night at the awards ceremony in Lake Placid, New York.
The finalists for this award were Max Scott (Brown) and Ryan Richardson (Clarkson).
Jack Ricketts joined the Bobcats this year as a graduate student and had an impressive goal-scoring season, notching 14 goals (second in the ECAC) and 5 assists. He shone during the powerplay, and four of his goals came with the man advantage. The Oakville, Ontario native had 53 shots with a 0.26 shot percentage, effectively placing him second in the ECAC.
In addition to his accomplishments on the ice, Ricketts earned Bluebird Hotels Forward of the Week Honors twice and Forward of the Month for January.
Quinnipiac will face Cornell in the semifinals on Friday, March 21, at 4:00 PM at the Herb Brooks Arena in Lake Placid, New York.
