DANBURY, CONN. – ECAC Hockey has selected the women’s hockey weekly award winners for the week ending on January 13th, 2026: Elyssa Biederman (Sr., Colgate), Alyssa Regalado (Sr., Cornell), Kate Manness (Fr., Clarkson), and Samson Frey (Fr., Yale).

Laurel Lake Placid Forward of the Week
Elyssa Biederman (Sr., Colgate) claims Laurel Lake Placid Forward of the Month honors. The Franklin, Michigan native was a key player in No. 12 Colgate's weekend sweep over St. Lawrence and No. 11 Clarkson. Friday night, after falling behind 1-0 in the first, Colgate came back scoring four unanswered goals, three of which were scored by Biederman. This was her second straight hat trick, the first Colgate Raider to ever achieve this feat. She also managed to tally two assists on top for a total of five points on the night, leading to a 6-2 win over St. Lawrence. The next night, Biederman managed to find the back of the net, scoring the game winner and tallying three assists in the Raiders' 5-2 win over Clarkson. Elyssa Biederman concluded the weekend with her 100th career assist, becoming the third Raider in program history to achieve this feat.

ADAPT Nutrition Defender of the Week
Alyssa Regalado (Sr., Cornell) has been named the ADAPT Nutrition Defender of the Week. On Friday night, No. 10 Cornell took on No. 11 Clarkson, where senior defender Alyssa Regalado scored the Big Red’s second goal of the game and tallied an assist on the fourth goal of the night. Despite her efforts, they ended in a 5-5 tie. The Big Red bounced back, collecting a 5-2 win over St. Lawrence, where Regalado picked up an assist on the first goal of the night.

Rookie of the Week
Kate Manness (Fr., Clarkson) claims Rookie of the Week recognition. The rookie defender tallied four assists on the weekend. Manness tallied two assists on the third and fourth goals in the Golden Knights' 5-5 tie against No. 10 Cornell. The next night, Manness garnered two assists again on the first and second goals, but it was not enough as they fell 5-2 to No. 12 Colgate. Clarkson is back in action as they host RPI and Union this coming weekend.

MAC Goaltending Goaltender of the Week
Samson Frey (Fr., Yale) has been awarded the MAC Goaltending Goaltender of the Week award. The rookie goalie went 3-0-0 this past week, recording shutouts against Northeastern and Dartmouth. The Northport, N.Y. native made a total of 62 saves for a .969 save percentage and allowed only two goals in the Bulldogs' 3-2 win over Harvard Saturday night for a 0.67 goals against average. The Bulldogs are back in action in Connecticut as they host No. 12 Colgate and No. 10 Cornell.
