Wunder, Damiani, Sorokan, Tuffy Claim ECAC Hockey Weekly Award

DANBURY, CONN. – ECAC Hockey has selected the women’s weekly award winners for the week ending on January 6th, 2026: Issy Wunder (Sr., Princeton), Victoria Damiani (So., Brown), Riley Sorokan (Fr., Princeton), and Ainsley Tuffy (So., Harvard).

Laurel Lake Placid Forward of the Month
Issy Wunder (Sr., Princeton) claims Laurel Lake Placid Forward of the Month honors. The Toronto, Ontario native had herself a weekend as No. 9 Princeton swept Stonehill. Wunder scored the game-winning goal and tallied two assists for an 8-1 win. The next day, she stayed hot, scoring four goals, her second career hat trick, and three assists for a total of seven points in their 10-0 win. The Tigers have extended their winning streak to nine games, which is now tied with the 2005-06 team's nine-game heater for the second-longest winning streak in program history. Wunder's four goals are the most in a game by a Princeton player since she had five in a 12-1 win over St. Anselm on November 30, 2024.

ADAPT Nutrition Defender of the Week
Victoria Damiani (So., Brown) has been named the ADAPT Nutrition Defender of the Week. On Tuesday, December 30, the Bears faced off against UMaine, where the Mississauga Jr. Hurricanes alum picked up a career high of two assists, but it was not enough as the Bears fell 3-2. Entering 2026 after a 3-2 loss, Brown picked up two crucial wins over RPI and Union over the weekend for six conference points. Damiani tallied an assist in each win for a total of four assists on the week.

Rookie of the Week
Riley Sorokan (Fr., Princeton) claims Rookie of the Week recognition as the Tigers extended their win streak to nine after their weekend sweep over Stonehill. The rookie forward set a career high of four assists Friday night in the Tigers' 8-1 win. She did not stop there as she went on to tally three assists in the Tigers' 10-0 shutout win. The Tigers currently sit in first place in the ECAC and will hit the road to take on Union and RPI.

MAC Goaltending Goaltender of the Week
Ainsley Tuffy (So., Harvard) has been awarded the MAC Goaltending Goaltender of the Week award after shutting down No. 5 Minnesota Duluth in the Belfast Friendship Four Tournament. Tuffy was a brick wall this past weekend, making a total of 80 saves, 55 of those saves against Minnesota Duluth Friday morning for a save percentage of .965 and a 2.43 goals against average. The Crimson won in overtime, heading to the championship game, where they fell to Boston University 3-2, where Tuffy made 25 saves. The Crimson are back in the US and will host Brown and Yale for conference play.
