DANBURY, CONN. — The Hockey Commissioners Association has announced their watch list for the 2026 Mike Richter Award, annually given to the most outstanding goaltender in NCAA Division I men’s college hockey. Since the trophy was first awarded at the conclusion of the 2013-14 season, no ECAC Hockey goaltender has ever claimed the accolade. Representing ECAC Hockey on the initial watch list for the award are Roan Clarke (Dartmouth), Alexis Cournoyer (Cornell), Emmett Croteau (Dartmouth), and Cameron Korpi (Union).
NOTE: Goalies qualified by meeting minimum GAA (2.30 or lower) and save percentage (.920 or higher) standards. Other names may be added for consideration before the first formal vote.
Roan Clarke (Jr., Dartmouth)
Roan Clarke currently holds a 6-2-0 record, and in his eight starts for the Big Green, Clarke has made 148 saves and allowed just 17 goals for a .897 save percentage. Clarke had one shutout against Army West Point on December 12, where he made 19 saves. On January 2nd, Clark had a season-high 23 save performance against Princeton, but the Big Green fell short.
Alexis Cournoyer (Fr., Cornell)
Alexis Cournoyer has had a stellar rookie year between the pipes for the Big Red, putting up an 8-3-0 record through 11 starts. Cournoyer has made 255 saves against his opponents, allowing 20 goals against, and sits second in the league for goal against average (1.84) and save percentage (.927). Cournoyer's collegiate debut was a career-high 33-save win over Massachusetts Amherst on November 1. Just six days later, he took the Big Red to a 3-1 win over Harvard, making 30 saves.
Emmett Croteau (Jr., Dartmouth)
Emmett Croteau has been phenomenal between the pipes for the entirety of the 2025-26 campaign holding a 7-2-0 record that has seen him one shutout and allow just 16 goals over the course of nine contests. Croteau has made 206 saves, sitting at 1.78 goals against average and holding steady with a .928 save percentage. Among ECAC goalies, he ranks first in goals against average and save percentage. Among his best performances so far this season was his 27-save performance in a 3-1 win against Clarkson on November 15.
Cameron Korpi (So., Union)
Cameron Korpi has had a strong season for the Garnet Chargers through 15 starts and 16 games played. Korpi has an 8-6-2 record and has made 316 saves in just over 890 minutes between the pipes. He has a save percentage of .900 through the last 16 contests and, among league goalies, Korpi sits fourth in goals against average (2.34) and first in shutouts (3). One of Korpi’s best performances this season came against the University of Massachusetts Lowell on November 14, where he made 32 saves en route to a 7-1 win.
