The Massachusetts native has recorded seven points in his first eight games, good for second-most among defenders in the conference. His four goals have him in a tie for first among ECAC Hockey blueliners, and he's one of only two defenders to have scored both a power play goal and a game-winning goal this season. He tallied four points in a pair of games against LIU in mid-October, which proved crucial as the Engineers completed the sweep at in Troy.

Rookie of the Month Presented by Just Play
Nathan Free (Fr., Union) has been named ECAC Hockey's Rookie of the Month presented by Just Play for September and October. The Alberta native is currently the nation's leader in goals scored by a freshman (6), while his three game-winning tallies also leads the entire nation, not just first-year players. Free is riding a six-game point streak, and has tallied multiple points in five of those six games. He was all over the scoresheet in his team's weekend sweep to begin conference play this past weekend, scoring four goals, two of which were game-winners.

MAC Goaltending Goalie of the Month
Christian Kirsch (Fr., Quinnipiac) is ECAC Hockey's MAC Goaltending Goalie of the Month for September and October. The Switzerland native has won four of his first five career games played, including a three-game win streak to begin his NCAA career. His four wins rank second among ECAC Hockey netminders, while his 2.17 goals against average (GAA) and .924 save percentage rank second among league goalies with a minumum of two games played. Kirsch has reached the 30-save plateau in three of his last four outings, winning each one of them for the Bobcats.
