DANBURY, CONN. – ECAC Hockey has selected the men’s weekly award winners for the week ending on February 9th, 2026: Ethan Wyttenbach (Fr., Quinnipiac), Braden Blace (So., Quinnipiac), Rémi Gélinas (Fr., Clarkson), and Arthur Smith (Jr., Princeton).
Laurel Lake Placid Forward of the Week
Ethan Wyttenbach (Fr., Quinnipiac) claims Laurel Lake Placid Forward of the Week honors. The Sioux Falls Stampede (USHL) alum was impressive for the Bobcats this weekend. No. 5 Quinnipiac ran up the scoreboard this past weekend against Brown and Yale. Friday night against Brown, Wyttenbach scored one goal and had two assists, tallying three points that helped lead the Bobcats to a 9-1 win. The next day, the New York native recorded his first collegiate hat trick for an 8-0 win over Yale. He now leads the country in points by six, with 19 goals and 28 assists on the year. His 47 points are seven off the Bobcat freshman record.
ADAPT Nutrition Defender of the Week
Braden Blace (So., Quinnipiac) has been honored with the ADAPT Nutrition Defender of the Week award. The defenseman hailing from British Columbia was crucial in the Bobcats' weekend sweep, tallying five assists on the weekend. Friday night against Brown, Blace assisted teammates Andon Cerbone and Matthew McGroarty on the seventh and eighth goals in the 9-1 win over the Bears. The next night, Blace tallied three assists in the Bobcats' 8-0 shutout win. The Bobcats are back in action Saturday and Sunday, facing Princeton in a weekend series.
Rookie of the Week
Rémi Gélinas (Fr., Clarkson) claims Rookie of the Week recognition. The Quebec native had an impressive Saturday afternoon, netting two goals and tallying two assists for four points against Union. Gélinas scored the third goal of the night with 34.2 seconds left in the first period. He went on to take advantage of the power play in the second period to assist Justin Cote for the fourth goal of the night. Clarkson closed out the night with an 8-7 overtime win over Union.
MAC Goaltending Goalie of the Week
Arthur Smith (Jr., Princeton) is the MAC Goaltending Goalie of the Week. The Tigers' netminder was strong in between the pipes, going 2-0-0 this weekend against Yale and Brown. Smith made a total of 39 saves while allowing four goals, resulting in a .907 save percentage. After this weekend, Princeton sits fourth in the standings and will face Quinnipiac in a weekend series.
