Alexis Cournoyer Earns Ken Dryden Goaltender of the Year Honors

Cornell Netminder Earns Award After Impressive Rookie Debut

DANBURY, CONN. - ECAC Hockey is proud to announce Cornell’s Alexis Cournoyer as the recipient of the MAC Goaltending Ken Dryden Goalie of the Year award for the 2025-26 season.

Cournoyer had an impressive rookie year between the pipes, posting a 15-6-1 record for the nationally-ranked No. 9 Big Red. In 19 games played, the netminder tallied 419 total saves (7th in ECAC), and a .919 save percentage (leads ECAC). The Québec native also finished the regular season with a 2.01 goals-against average (2nd in ECAC).

Overall, Cournoyer is ranked 10th in the nation in winning percentage (.696%) and sixth in the nation with a 2.01 goals against average. 

Cournoyer claimed one MAC Goaltending Goaltender of the Week award, one MAC Goaltending Goaltender of the Month honor, and Rookie of the Week honors three times during the regular season. In addition to league awards, the freshman was named a semi-finalist for the 2026 Mike Richter Award announced by the Hockey Commissioners Association (HCA) on February 13.
