DANBURY, CONN. — ECAC Hockey is proud to name Dartmouth’s Hayden Stavroff as the recipient of the Player of the Year Award for the 2025-26 season, as announced on Thursday night at the awards ceremony in Lake Placid, New York.
In 22 conference games, Stavroff led the league with 22 goals and added 15 assists (T-6 in ECAC) for an incredible 37-point season. Four of the sophomores' goals were game-winners, and another four came from the power play. Averaging 1.68 points per game and ending the season with an impressive +15 rating overall, Stavroff found himself at the top of most league stats throughout the season, helping the Big Green secure second place in the regular season.
Overall, Stavroff tallied 28 goals with 19 assists for 47 points, leading the country in goals and goals per game (.90). He had 12 multi-point games and is third in the country for points per game behind Penn State’s Gavin McKenna and Quinnipiac’s Ethan Wyttenbach.
The Columbus, Ohio native also earned Laurel Lake Placid Forward of the Week honors three times and was named a 2026 Hobey Baker nominee.
Dartmouth will face Clarkson in the semifinals on Friday, March 20, at 4:00 PM at the Herb Brooks Arena in Lake Placid, New York.
