DANBURY, CONN. — ECAC Hockey is proud to announce Quinnipiac’s Ethan Wyttenbach as the recipient of the Rookie of the Year Award for the 2025-26 season, as announced on Thursday night at the awards ceremony in Lake Placid, New York.
A unanimous decision for both the ECAC All-Rookie team and All-ECAC first team, the rookie was an asset to Quinnipiac’s offense this season. Wyttenbach appeared in 22 league games, totaling 15 goals (2nd in ECAC) and 21 assists (1st in ECAC) for 36 points (2nd in ECAC), averaging 1.68 points per game (2nd in ECAC) in league play. He notched four game-winning goals (T-1 in ECAC) and two power play goals, ending the season with a +15 rating (T-11th in the ECAC).
The New York native ended the season with 24 goals, 34 assists, and 58 points overall, leading the country in points and points per game (1.53) and fourth in goals. Wyttenbach broke the program's Division I first-year scoring record on February 27 against Dartmouth. With 58 points in overall play, Wyttenbach sits in second place for Division I single-season leaders for points.
Wyttenbach earned Rookie of the Month and Week honors three times, as well as Forward of the Month and Week once throughout the season.
