CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. - #6/7 Quinnipiac blanked Boston College in a 4-0 road win on Friday night and Rensselaer and St. Lawrence picked up their first wins of the season as non-conference play continued for six league teams.

TROY, N.Y. Jakob Lee had two goals and three assists, Jake Gagnon scored once with two helpers, and Ryan Mahshie tallied twice as the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's hockey team defeated Mercyhurst University 6-3 in its season opener.

HARTFORD, Conn. – The Union College men's hockey team (1-1-1, 0-0-0 ECACH) fell 4-1 Friday night to #20 University of Connecticut at the XL Center. Union was once again perfect on the penalty kill, going 5-for-5 on the night.
First-year Nick Young scored his first collegiate goal at 12:14 of the second period. Classmate Kyle Chauvette made his collegiate debut in relief at 4:10 of the third period.

POTSDAM, N.Y. - Clarkson would jump out to leads of 2-0 and 3-1 but would end up dropping a 4-3 ot decision to UNH Friday night at Cheel Arena. In the first the Knights seemed to have the energy as they jumped out to a 15 to 5 shot advantage at one point and that pressure paid off with a Power Play goal from Alex Campbell as he redirected a shot from Noah Beck.  Ayrton Martino also was credited with an assist on the goal.
