Mobley, Reilly, Dukaric, Walsh, and Ray Claim Weekly Awards

CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. — ECAC Hockey has announced its women’s weekly award winners, honoring Olivia Mobley (Quinnipiac), Kate Reilly (Quinnipiac), Pia Dukaric (Yale), Riley Walsh (Union), and Jordan Ray (Yale) for the week of play ending November 19, 2022.

Forward of the Week

Olivia Mobley (Jr., Quinnipiac) had a four-point weekend for the Bobcats, helping the team to a shutout of Clarkson and a win over St. Lawrence. On Friday, Mobley assisted on Kendall Cooper’s opening tally in the second period, then combined with Cooper again on Shay Maloney’s power play insurance goal in the final frame. Mobley scored a game-winner of her own on Saturday, pulling Quinnipiac ahead in the third period, and then assisted on another insurance goal to help bring home two wins.

Defender of the Week

Kate Reilly (Sr., Quinnipiac) had three points en route to the Bobcats’ weekend sweep. Her power play goal on Friday helped the team to a clean sheet against Clarkson and she followed up the performance with a two-point night on Saturday vs. St. Lawrence, assisting on the opening goal and then finding the back of the net herself with a third period equalizer. Reilly also blocked two shots during the weekend’s games.

MAC Goaltending Goaltender of the Week

Pia Dukaric (So., Yale) extended her undefeated streak to six games this weekend as she and the Bulldogs swept Penn State. On Friday, Dukaric earned her second shutout of the season, stopping 23 shots en route to the clean sheet. Saturday’s contest saw her make 26 saves on 27 shots through regulation and an additional save in overtime to help the team sweep the Nittany Lions. On Saturday, Dukaric also assisted on Jordan Ray’s second period power play goal, the first point of her career.

Co-Rookies of the Week

Jordan Ray (Fr., Yale) and Riley Walsh (Fr., Union) are named Co-Rookies of the Week after both put up incredible performances for their respective teams this past week.

Ray scored a goal and added an assist in Yale’s weekend sweep of Penn State. On Friday, she assisted on Anna Bargman’s opening goal in the first period, which stood as the game-winner as the Bulldogs shut out Penn State, 3-0. Ray then found the back of the net herself on Saturday, tallying a power play goal in the second period.

Walsh scored twice in Union’s defeat of Rensselaer last Tuesday to help the Dutchwomen to a 2-1 win. Though the Engineers opened the scoring, Walsh answered back in the first period to tie the game and then scored her third overtime game-winner of the season to seal the deal and secure the win.
