DANBURY, CONN. – ECAC Hockey is proud to announce that 40 current and former student-athletes representing all 12 member institutions have officially declared for the 2026 PWHL draft.
On May 12, the Professional Women’s Hockey League announced that 236 eligible players have declared for the 2026 PWHL Draft, representing the largest talent pool of prospective players since the inaugural season. The draft will take place on Wednesday, June 17, at 5 PM ET at the Fox Theatre in Detroit, Michigan, with the Vancouver Goldeneyes making the first overall pick.
The group of 236 players features 128 forwards, 68 defenders, and 40 goaltenders, with more than 50% of draft-eligible players from NCAA programs. Three ECAC programs — Clarkson, Cornell, and Quinnipiac — lead all schools, each boasting 5 players who have declared for the draft.
