Defender of the Week
Kate Monihan (Jr., Princeton) had a three-point weekend from the blue line with a goal and two assists. Monihan assisted on two goals early in Friday’s game at Mercyhurst, then scored with 0.4 seconds left on the clock to tie the game and force overtime with her first goal of the year. She registered ten shots and blocked two shots, finishing the weekend with a +5 rating.
MAC Goaltending Co-Goaltenders of the Week
Pia Dukaric (So., Princeton) and Amanda Rampado (Sr., Rensselaer) earn MAC Goaltending Co-Goaltenders of the Week honors after two incredible performances each. On Saturday, Rampado helped Rensselaer turn it around with her first shutout of the season and the Engineers’ first league win of the year, a 3-0 defeat of Brown in which Rampado made 24 saves on 24 shots for the clean sheet.
Across the ice, Pia Dukaric came away from the weekend with two wins and a shutout of her own. On Friday, Dukaric earned her third shutout of the season when she and the Bulldogs blanked Rensselaer, 3-0. Saturday’s contest saw Dukaric make seven saves in forty minutes before coming out of the game, finishing the weekend with 0.00 GAA and a perfect 1.00 save percentage.
