Gosling, Bahl, Dukaric, Walsh Honored with Monthly Awards

CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. — ECAC Hockey has announced its men’s award winners for the month of November: Julia Gosling (St. Lawrence), Kristina Bahl (St. Lawrence), Pia Dukaric (Yale), and Riley Walsh (Union).

Forward of the Month

Julia Gosling (Jr., St. Lawrence) earns Forward of the Month honors after an impressive November that saw her tally 12 points in eight games, including six goals. She put up four multi-point performances and scored two goals and added an assist in a 5-2 win over Mercyhurst on November 23. Of her six goals this month, one was scored with the skater advantage: the second of two back-to-back goals to put the Saints up against Clarkson on November 10. 

Defender of the Month

Defender of the Month Kristina Bahl (Jr., St. Lawrence) earns her first monthly honors of the season after a November that saw her put up seven points and block six shots against high-scoring opponents like Clarkson and Quinnipiac. Bahl had two multi-point performances this month: against Cornell (November 4) and Mercyhurst (November 22). She recorded a season-high three blocks in one game at Princeton (November 18), and added three more throughout the rest of the month.

Goaltender of the Week

Pia Dukaric (So., Yale) is having a stellar start to the season, earning her Goaltender of the Month honors. In six starts during November, Dukaric went 6-0-0 and earned three shutouts. She finished the month with a save percentage of .961 and a .99 goals against average, all while taking down ranked opponents in Quinnipiac, Princeton, Penn State (2), and Minnesota.

Rookie of the Month

Riley Walsh (Fr., Union) has made a name for herself as both a force to be reckoned with and Rookie of the Month. During November, Walsh scored eight points, including three overtime game-winners against Dartmouth (November 5), RIT (November 11), and Rensselaer (November 15). She recorded three multi-point games, including a three-point night against Dartmouth, where she assisted on two power play goals and converted in overtime for the win.
