CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. — ECAC Hockey has announced its women’s weekly award winners, honoring Catie Boudiette (Quinnipiac), Riley Walsh (Union), Haley Winn (Clarkson), and Olivia Mobley (Quinnipiac) for the week ending October 2, 2022.
MAC Goaltending Goaltender of the Week
Catie Boudiette (Jr., Quinnipiac) earned her first shutout of the season in her first start of the 2022-23 campaign on Saturday against Maine. She more than proved her mettle with 26 saves on 26 shots for her first clean sheet since the 2020-21 season.
Rookie of the Week
Riley Walsh (Fr., Union) made an immediate impact on the ice in the first game of her collegiate career. Her first goal came on the power play during the first period of Friday’s game against New Hampshire, and she would quickly double her production with a shorthanded tally during the second period for the first multi-point game of her career too. On Saturday, she scored her first even strength goal, finishing the weekend with three tallies and helping the Dutchwomen to a series split.
Defender of the Week
Haley Winn (So., Clarkson) picked up right where her 2021-22 season ended: on the ice, celebrating goals. Winn registered a primary assist on Gabrielle David’s power play tally in the first period of Saturday’s game against Sacred Heart, and was on the ice making plays for three of the Golden Knights’ five goals. She also blocked two shots and played an integral role in keeping the Pioneers to just one goal through two contests.
Player of the Week
Olivia Mobley (Jr., Quinnipiac) showed up huge for the Bobcats this weekend. A natural-born playmaker, Mobley assisted on two goals on Saturday – including the equalizer in the third period – and scored the overtime game-winner to clinch the team’s first victory of the season. On Saturday, she assisted on teammate Lexie Adzija’s second period dagger to give the Bobcats the weekend sweep.
