Hartje, Winn, Rampado, Biederman Claim Weekly Awards

CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. — ECAC Hockey has announced its women’s weekly award winners, honoring Elle Hartje (Yale), Haley Winn (Clarkson), Amanda Rampado (Rensselaer), and Elyssa Biederman (Colgate) for the week of play ending January 15, 2023.

Forward of the Week 

Elle Hartje (Jr., Yale) had a milestone week, scoring three goals and adding three assists en route to her 100th career point. On Tuesday, Hartje had three assists, including on the first period power play game-winner. She followed up the performance with goals in back-to-back games, including two against Brown at home on Thursday (one of which was a power play game-winner) and one against the Bears in Providence on Saturday.

Defender of the Week

Haley Winn (So., Clarkson) recorded her second and third multi-point games of the season this week when Clarkson took on Rensselaer and Union. On Friday, she assisted on both Clarkson goals in the team’s 2-1 win, including registering the primary helper on Gabrielle David’s overtime game-winner. WInn put up a season-high single-game points performance on Saturday with a shorthanded empty-netter and assists on three of her teammates’ tallies in the Golden Knights’ 7-0 shutout of Union.

MAC Goaltending Goaltender of the Week

Amanda Rampado (Sr., Rensselaer) finished the week with one win and an overtime loss and earned her sixth shutout of the season. On Friday, the Engineers took on Clarkson, where Rampado made a season-high 48 saves against the Golden Knights and allowed just two goals. She kept up the impressive performance the next day against St. Lawrence,when she earned another clean sheet and the win with a 30-save shutout of the Saints. 

Rookie of the Week

Elyssa Biederman (Fr., Colgate) had five points, scoring a goal and adding four assists, over three games during the past week. On Tuesday at Syracuse, Biederman assisted on teammate Dara Greig’s game-winner. She performed similarly on Friday against Quinnipiac, when she assisted on Danielle Serdachny’s third period game-tying goal to help force overtime in the close game. Saturday’s contest against Princeton saw Biederman tally a power play goal, her second of the season, and assist on two more of her teammates’ tallies to finish the game with three points.
