CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. — The NCAA released its latest Graduation Success Rate report, illustrating the success of student-athletes in the classroom. Among all sanctioned sports, both men’s and women’s ice hockey topped the national average graduation rate, with several ECAC Hockey institutions recording perfect graduation success rates.
The report, released Tuesday, found that men’s and women’s hockey players are excelling not only on the ice, but in the classroom as well. Men’s hockey finished in the top five for four-class average GSR (92%) and single-year GSR (90%), both above or matching the national average. Women’s hockey tied for the highest four-class average GSR at 98%, tied for the highest amongst women’s sports and 3% above the national average.

Additional data also found five ECAC hockey men’s member programs with a perfect 100% GSR: Brown, Colgate, Cornell, Harvard, and Yale. On the women’s side, seven programs had a perfect 100% GSR: Brown, Colgate, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Princeton, Quinnipiac, and Yale.
