Daniel, Pickering, Angers, Rogers Emerge As Weekly Award Honorees

CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. – In a weekend packed with four non-league series sweeps, singling out the weekly award winners was no easy feat! ECAC Hockey takes great pleasure in unveiling the recipients of this week's accolades, who demonstrated exceptional performances in yet another thrilling weekend of hockey: Izzy Daniel (Colgate), Avery Pickering (Colgate), Logan Angers (Quinnipiac), and Eleanor Rogers (Dartmouth).

Forward of the Week  
Izzy Daniel (Sr., Cornell) rightfully claims the title of Forward of the Week for her six-point contribution to the Big Red in their first non-conference showdown of the season. The 2023 Patty Kazmaier Award Nominee dished out two assists during Friday night's 4-1 victory against the 13th-ranked Penn State. To cap off the sweep, Daniel notched her first goal of the season and added three more assists to tally an impressive four-point night. Throughout this high-scoring weekend, the senior forward maintained a commendable plus-minus rating of five.

Defender of the Week
Avery Pickering (Fr., Colgate) emerges as the Defender of the Week with an outstanding performance, marking her first collegiate goal during the seven-goal shutout against Mercyhurst on Friday night. The freshman defender showcased her skills by driving the puck into the net from the top-left corner. Pickering netted her second career goal in the third period, achieving her first multi-point game. Following a 5-1 triumph the next night, Pickering concluded the weekend with a notable plus-minus rating of three.

MAC Goaltending Goaltender of the Week 
Logan Angers (Gr., Quinnipiac) secures the honor of MAC Goaltending Goaltender of the Week with the third series sweep for the Bobcats. The Winnipeg, Manitoba native boasts impressive statistics this season allowing just six goals through six games played while remaining undefeated. In this weekend’s matchup, Angers displayed her talent by stopping 43 shots during the home and away series against Providence, resulting in a stellar 0.99 goals against average and .956 save percentage.

Rookie of the Week 
Eleanor Rogers (Fr., Dartmouth) is named Rookie of the Week after a stellar performance in her freshman campaign. Rogers commenced her collegiate journey with a victory on Tuesday night as the Big Green faced off against Assumption, coming out with a 3-2 win. The freshman netminder carried the momentum into the weekend, securing her second win of the year in the first league game against Harvard. Over the course of two games, Rogers executed 45 saves, maintaining a 2.00 goals-against average and .911 save percentage.
