ECAC Hockey Leads Way in NCAA Graduation Success Rate

12 League Programs Post 100 Percent GSR

CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. — ECAC Hockey women’s and men’s student-athletes continue to thrive in the academic realm with consistent scoring above the national average according to the newest Graduation Success Rate (GSR), released by the NCAA. 

According to the report, both men’s and women’s hockey ranked in the top five of all NCAA sports with women’s hockey tied for fifth-highest among Division I sports with a four-class GSR of 97 percent. Men’s hockey tied for fourth place with a four-class GSR of 93 percent and recorded the highest single-class GSR of 96 percent. The single-class GSR was not available for women’s hockey. 

Out of the 12 ECAC Hockey women’s programs, Brown, Colgate, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Princeton, Quinnipiac, and Yale maintain a commendable 100 percent GSR. 

For the men’s programs, Colgate, Cornell, Harvard, and Yale recorded a 100 percent GSR with Dartmouth and Princeton scoring higher than 96 percent.

“Student-athletes competing in college hockey continue to excel as much in the classroom as they do in the ice arena,” said College Hockey Inc. Executive Director Mike Snee. “The release of Graduation Success Rate data has become an annual moment of excitement and pride in the college hockey community.”
