CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. — ECAC Hockey has announced its women’s weekly award winners, honoring Danielle Serdachny (Colgate), Stephanie Markowski (Clarkson), Michelle Pasiechnyk (Clarkson), and Jordan Ray (Yale) for the week of play ending February 11, 2023.
Forward of the Week
Danielle Serdachny (Sr., Colgate) not only impressed on the ice this week but also cemented her place in Raider history, breaking program records for most single-season points (currently at 58) and career points (currently at 164). On Friday, Serdachny had helpers on three of Colgate’s five goals to take down Yale, including assists on two power play tallies and one at even strength. She followed up her performance with another record-shattering game, assisting on the team’s opening goal and then scoring the game-winner herself to top Brown, 3-1.
Defender of the Week
Stephanie Markowski (Sr., Clarkson) had three points and blocked three shots en route to the Golden Knights’ weekend sweep of Harvard and Dartmouth. On Friday, Markowski scored the power play game-winner to take down Harvard and close out the season series against the Crimson with a win. She followed it up with a two-point performance against Dartmouth on Saturday, assisting on the first period power play game-winner and then adding an insurance goal of her own less than four minutes later.
MAC Goaltending Goaltender of the Week
Michelle Pasiechnyk (Jr., Clarkson) had another solid weekend between the pipes, going 2-0 against Harvard and Dartmouth and making 47 saves on the weekend. On Friday, Pasiechnyk allowed just two goals, then earned her ninth clean sheet of the season when she made 27 saves to blank Dartmouth in Hanover on Saturday. Through 120 minutes of play this weekend, Pasiechnyk maintained a 1.01 goals against average and a .959 save percentage, for one of her top weekend performances of the season.
Rookie of the Week
Jordan Ray (Fr., Yale) earns back-to-back Rookie of the Week honors after putting up four points during Yale’s weekend split against Colgate and Cornell. On Friday, Ray had a hand in all three of the Bulldogs’ goals against the Raiders, including scoring two of her own and assisting on the third. She followed up the performance with an assist on Yale’s opening goal in their 3-2 win over Cornell on Saturday to round out the team’s road trip.
